A Brand Studio Identity

THE BRIEF

A brand for the brand-maker herself. OSO Creative needed to feel like the designer behind it — someone who brings both rigor and warmth to every project. The identity had to communicate craft without coldness, and sophistication without distance.

THE APPROACH

OSO is personal before it is anything else. The first three letters of the founder’s last name, worn as a mark. “OSO,” a play on “oh so,” also means bear in Spanish, and that duality became the design brief: something rooted in heritage, strong in presence, and warm by nature.

The visual language draws from “resplandor”: the quality of light specific to midday sun in Colombia; the way it bounces off the street colors is almost blinding. Botanical photography, terracotta, and the particular yellow of equatorial noon ground the system in something felt before it’s understood. The abstract O mark renders a bear in pure typography — the downward triangle reading as a face, the circular form as both animal and initial. A logo that rewards a second look. The wordmark pairs a weighted serif with an italic to hold the tension between authority and ease. The tagline, “Clarity. Warmth. Intention” was written to double as a design philosophy.
